My grandmother was Pauline Tober (married to William Skalay). I believe she was born in Volynia.

Here are some relevant general sources on the Germans living in Volhynia, many of whom immigrated to Canada in the 1870's and later.

Tober-106 and Tober-103 appear to represent the same person because: I was just working on this profile because of the challenge and found my information on MyHeritage.de German side and found that my profile is more complete Tober-106 but found that there is as well a profile that was done today Tober-103 so please merge they are the same.

Thanks

Hi Sylvie,

Good work! I've was trying to find a reliable source for the connection between Paul and Carl Tober. Poked around all over but I didn't think to check the German records. Unfortunately, the MyHeritage link isn't working for me. Can you share or cite the source you found another way?
