Biography
Mary Ann, daughter of William Townsend and Rebecca Sunderland was born at Irish Town, NSW, Australia on 7 January 1825, and was baptised at Castlereagh, NSW, Australia on 2 October 1825.[1]
Mary Ann married Henry White on 16 Nov 1842 at Parramatta in New South Wales, Australia.

- On Wednesday, the 16th instant, at Parramatta, by the Rev. James Allen, Henry White, Esq., of Windsor, surgeon, to Mary Ann, eldest daughter of Mr. William Townsend, of Mount Pleasant, North Richmond, and granddaughter of the late Dr. Sunderland, surgeon, of the 102nd Regiment. [2]

Mary Ann passed away on 5 May 1876 at Kepple Street, Bathurst, NSW, Australia and was buried in Wesleyan section of the Bathurst Cemetery on 8 May 1876. Her cause of death was Phthisis - 12 months. [3]

Marriage: Unable to locate a marriage registration for Henry White and Mary Ann Townsends marriage. The only reference is the newspaper article in the Sydney Morning Herald.
