In his 1792 Will, Josiah bequeathed “One Negro Woman named Beck and one Negro girl named Alce” to his wife Jane. At the death or marriage of Jane, Beck to go to daughter Betsy. At the death or marriage of Jane, Alce to go to daughter Hannah Cranor.

Something is wrong with this analysis. If the first wife named Jane was still alive how would he have remarried. Looks like two families are comingled.
