Mary (Trottier) Paquin has French origins.

- Marie Trottier - known as Mary Truckey - was born about 1815 in Mackinac, Michigan. She was the daughter of French-Canadian, François 'Frank Truckey' Trottier, and Catherine 'Kate' Martin, a Mackinak métisse of French and Ojibwe extraction. Mary lived in Mackinac her entire lifetime. [1]
