Biography

James Lionel was born in 1898 in the Cape Colony; he was the son of James Lionel Truter and Alice Maud Knight.

He was 29 years old when he married 40 year old widow Maria Aletta Susanna (Zentgraf ) van Rooyen in Johannesburg, Transvaal, on 15 June 1927.^[1]

James was a Motor Mechanic, aged 56, when he succumbed to cancer in the Addington Hospital in Durban, Natal, on 19 November 1952.^[2][3]
