Biography

Father Sir James Touchet, 5th Lord Audley, Chief Justice & Chamberlain of South Wales[1] b. c 1398, d. 23 Sep 1459

Mother Margaret Roos[2] b. c 1400, d. bt Sep 1423 - 14 Feb 1430

Sir John Audley, 6th Lord Audley, Lord High Treasurer was born circa 1426 at of Chichester, Sussex, England.[3]

He married Anne Echingham, daughter of Sir Thomas Echingham and Margaret Knyvet, before 1456; They had 4 sons (Sir James, 7th Lord Audley; John; George; & Thomas) and 3 daughters (Eleanor, wife of Roger Lewknor; Elizabeth, wife of Sir William Filoll; & Anne, wife of Sir John Wingfield).[4]

Sir John Audley, 6th Lord Audley, Lord High Treasurer died on 22 or 26 September 1490.[5] He was buried on the south side of the chancel of the church of Shere, Surrey.[6] His heir was his son James.[5]

Touchet-122 and Tuchet-44 appear to represent the same person because: From relationships they must be the same person; not exactly sure which should be the Last Name at Birth (but Tuchet-44 has much more reliable sources). Also place of birth is different but again Tuchet-44 has sources
