"Stephen"Mastin Greene Turner lived, at 4 years of age, with his mother Nancy Turner, brother William, 11 and another baby boy named Martin, 6 months, Henry County, Virginia. (Nancy is the right age in the 1850 US Census to be his mother)[1][2]
In "A History of Henry County Virginia, William and Green Turner were mentioned as orphans.[3]
At 14 he lived with the family of Richard Wells, I assuming, to work on his farm in Oak Level Henry County Virginia.[4] Martin married Amanda F Behelor. [5][2][6]
Death
Mastin Died 15 Aug 1907 in Lincoln Township, Indianapolis, Marion County, Indiana and was Buried at Jones Chapel Cemetery.[7]
On the 1870 US Census Martin or Mastin is written above Stephen. This is the only record that lists Stephen as his name.[2] In his daughter's marriage Index M. S. Turner is listed. [8]
