Moses was born enslaved about 1815, possibly in Warren County, Mississippi.

He was included in the personal property appraisal list of Henry Turner (abt.1774-1821) that was dated February 1822 and listed as being at Palmyra Plantation, Warren County, Mississippi.[1]
