Biography

Elizabeth Turrentine was born in 1759, the daughter of Alexander Turrentine and his wife Deborah (Spencer). ^[1] She married Francis Baldridge about 1775. ^{[2] [3]} The family moved to Mississippi about 1802, when Francis begins appearing on records there. ^[4] Her exact date of death is uncertain, but both Francis and Elizabeth were alive in 1816 since they executed a power of attorney in settling the estate of Elizabeth's brother, Alexander.^[5]

Children born to Elizabeth and Francis Baldridge included:

1. Deborah Spence Baldridge, born 06 October 1788, who married John Clem Johnson;^[6]
2. John Owens, born 8 - Feb - 1780, who married (1) Jane Owens, born 01 Nov 1785, and married (2) Nancy Cheek Marble, born 23 December 1812.^[7]
