James Baldridge was born July 14, 1782 to Revolutionary War Soldier Francis Baldridge and his wife, Elizabeth Turrentine. Francis received a land grant for his military service and the family moved to Mississippi about 1804. [1] James married Polly (Mary) Stampley on June 12, 1806. [2] They lived in Jefferson County, MS [3] They were the parents of ten children. [4][5] James died November 27, 1831.

I have a copy of the Bible record that shows him marrying in 1805, so think the 1782 birthdate is more likely correct.
