Biography

Thomas was born in 1863, married in 1894 to Hannah Hore, nee Winser, who was 14 years his senior. Thomas was a scolar in 1871, and in 1881 was working as an accountant. (clerk.) In 1891 he was an inmate at The Exeter Union Workhouse and worked as a clerk. Thomas worked as a hotel porter in 1901, but for reasons unknown, Thomas was boarding away from his family home during the 1911 census and listed his occupation as that of a former porter. He died at the age of 88 years in 1951.
