He studied medicine at Clare College Cambridge, moving on to a resident post at St Thomas's Hospital, London. He became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in 1901 and worked at Moorfields Eye Hospital from 1904-1910. There is a fuller description of his career in [5]
He died following a severe asthma attack on 1 January 1933 in London[5]
He was survived by his wife, Nellie (Hallett) ,and their two children
