The only actual recorded source for Hester is when she is named in the will of her husband Abraham Hunsberger.[3] There has been no primary source found which gives her the name of Sellen or LNAB of Tyson.
Many books on the Hunsberger genealogy, and hence most online family trees, list Esther Sellen Tyson Hunsberger as a daughter of Mathias Tyson and the aunt of Catherine Nash Tyson. However none of these books or pedigrees offer any sources. It appears that early on she was conflated with another wife or generation of Hunsberger, which added "Sellen" to her name and then attempted to fit her into the Sellen/Tyson/Hunsberger families.
Finally, she is not named in the 1766 Will of her supposed father, Mathias Tyson, like all his other children.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Hester by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Hester:
Tyson-1530 and Tyson-1263 are not ready to be merged because: Not enough information just yet but the match is possible. There have been some speculative and incorrect merges of Abraham Hunsbergers/Hunspergers in this same time period so I am cautious. - David H.
Tyson-1530 and Tyson-1263 do not represent the same person because: There are many uncertainties, even though there are some matched elements. Reading the notes on the father, Tyson-147, it is clear there are too many elements not confirmed. In that profile it is stated that Esther/Hester may be the "wife or mother" of Abraham Hunsberger. Also the Find-A-Grave source given in Tyson-1530 states that the grave could not be found, so that is hardly a valid source. In the future it may be possible to merge these records but not yet, in my opinion.
In the Hunsberger book it has her as daughter of Mathias Tyson Tyson-147 but could not find any solid information on her or her husband Abraham who tie in to my line . Would love to find more but hitting brick wall. Did you find more on her other than what is in Hunsberger book? Has anyone ?
