Secondary sources indicate that Elizabeth's maiden name is Hampton.[1] Since she is not listed in her husband's will dated 1778, it is assumed that she predeceased her husband. The dates in this profile still remain a guess, but the available sources indicate that she married between between 1720 and 1722 and was likely born in the early 1700's (previously listed as early as 1685). Her presumed daughter, Susanna Shelton (named in her husbands will) was born around 1742
