Biography

John was born about 1815. He was the son of Richard Vance and Mary Simms. He was the husband of Martha "Patsy Hall. He is listed with Martha and seven children on the 1850 Census.^[1] The couple are listed with eight children on the 1860 Census^[2] and five children are listed in their household on the 1870 Census.^[3] He passed away in 1886.^[4]
