Kilkenny Moderator 06 July 1895, page 2:
DEATH OF THE HON. LADY CUFFE.
The melancholy duty devolves upon us this morning of announcing the death of the Hon. Lady Cuffe, wife of Major Sir Charles Wheeler Cuffe, Bart, D.L., J.P., of Leyrath, in this county, which sad event took place early yesterday. The announcement will create mingled feelings of profound regret and sympathy: regret at the removal by the hand of death from her high social sphere of a lady whose gracious manner, innate courtesy, and cultured mind enable her to adorn her high station in society; and sympathy with her bereaved husband in this the great sorrow of his life - a sorrow that invades the baronial hall as well as the humble cottage. The late Lady Cuffe was daughter of the late Lord Stuart de Decies and sister of Mr. Villiers Stuart, D.L., of Dromona, county Waterford. For some considerable time the deceased lady had been in delicate health, and was obliged to spend each succeeding winter in a mild climate. It was hoped, however, that after returning from Glengariff a few months ago her health would soon be restored. But it was not to be, and ere the general public had heard that Lady Cuffe was even ill, the news of her death comes, bringing with it a sense of shock and pain inseparable from the intelligence of the death of a lady whose benevolence and charity were extended to all in need, irrespective altogether of any narrow considerations. By rich and poor, high and low in this and neighbouring counties the death of the Hon. Lady Cuffe will be deeply and sincerely deplored.
The funeral leaves Leyrath on Tuesday next at 12 o'clock.[4]
She was buried at Templemartin Church of Ireland Graveyard, Templemartin, County Cork, Ireland[5].

Research Notes
Although it states on her Findagrave memorial page that she and her husband had 7 children, no evidence could be found at the time of profile creation. Upon the death of her husband in 1915, he was succeeded by his nephew, Otway Fortescue Luke Wheeler-Cuffe.
