Hendrick Janse Vro(o)man was a son of Johannes Hendrickse Vrooman, born (presumably) in Albany County, New York. The Vrooman Family genealogy gives his date of birth as 9 September 1690, but does not indicate a source for this information.[1] In First Settlers of Schenectady, Pearson gives his date of birth as 12 September 1690, also without identifying the source. [2] Hendrick's baptism is not in Albany Reformed Dutch Church records (where there is record of only one baptism between 17 August 1690 and 30 April 1691) , and available records for Schenectady did not commence until 1694.
Hendrik Vroman, y. m., and Engeltje Slingerland, both from Schenectady, were married in Schenectady, New York, in April 1718.[3][2] Betty Fink's transcript of the record had them as Hendrick Vroman, j. m. of Schenectady, and Angeltien Slingerlands, j. d. of Schenectady.[4][5]

Research Notes
From the Vrooman Genealogy (most of the same text also appears in Pearson's First Settlers of Schenectady):
Hendrick, son of John, born September 9th, 1690, married, October 1718, Engeltie, daughter of Cornelius Slingerland. In 1723 he owned a lot on the east corner of State and Washington Streets, forty-five feet by 190 deep, which passed to his son Cornelius, who sold it to Samuel Arentse Bratt.
LNAB: Since he was Vroman at his marriage and at the baptism of his first child, I think that is his LNAB. -Smith-62120 03:15, 8 April 2020 (UTC)
