Biography

John J. Walker was born in 1850, the second child of Phobe Jane Noe and Edward T. Walker.

On 24 Nov 1870 he married Mary Jane Linderman, a daughter of Elizabeth Noe and Jeremiah Linderman, in Mahaska County, Iowa.

At this time there is no known connection between Phobe Noe and Elizabeth Noe. However, as both women were married in Rush County, Indiana, and subsequently moved to Mahaska County, Iowa, it is probable that these women have ancestors in common.

John and Mary Jane had one daughter and three sons. The first three children were born in Mahaska County, but the youngest of the children was born in South Dakota.

Mary Jane passed away in Minnesota. It is not known where or when John passed away.
