Biography

Sally was born about 1820. She is the daughter of Caswell Walker and Ann McKinney.

She was first married on 19 January 1843 in Monroe County, Tennessee, to Reuben Madison Wilhite the son of Reuben and Elizabeth Jenkins Wilhite.[1] After Reuben died in the Mexican War she was remarried in about 1855 to William S. Morris.

Sallie is the mother of four children:

  • 1. Cally Ann Wilhite 1844 -
  • 2. Mary Matilda Wilhite 1846 - 1878 Married William Franklin Burkd. 3 Children: William Emmett, John Leon and Joseph Wilburn Burk. Died Catoosa County, Georgia
  • 3. Joseph Madison Wilhite 1848 - 1917 Married Buna Vista Caldonia "Cally" McDonald. 10 Children:Hugh Reuben, Joseph D, Charles B, Lee Garland, Jesse L, C Landy, Lafayette M, Molly M, Doss W and Andrew Jackson Wilhite. Buried: Roby Cemetery, Roby, Fisher County, Texas #24930950.

Children by 2nd Marriage to William S Morris (1):[3]

  • 4. Caswell L Morris 1957 - 1934 Married Nancy Emeline Bennett.[4] Buried: Blue River Chapel Cemetery, White Cloud, Harrison County, Indiana. #28475403

She passed away in 1878 at the age of 56.[5]
