Margaret Wallace, or possibly Margaret Holmes, was born about 1664 in Scotland. In 1691, Margaret married in Scotland, Thomas Craighead, son of Robert Craighead and Agnes Hart, who was born about 1670 at Donoughmore, Co. Cork, Ireland and died in 1739 at Newville, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania.[1]

They had an eighth child, Robert Craighead, an "Irishman," who was in Baltimore by 1734 and likely much earlier.
The Reverend Thomas Craighead, his wife Margaret and their children, and his sister Catherine with her husband William Homes, arrived in Boston, Massachusetts Oct 1715 on the ship Thomas and Jane.
Margaret died in 1738 at White Clay Creek, New Castle County, Delaware where she is buried with her son Thomas and his wife Margaret.[2]
"In memory of Margaret, the wife of the Rev. Thomas Craghead, who died in 1738, aged 74 years; and of Thomas, his son, deceased in 1735, aged 33 years; and if Margaret, his wife, who died in 1765, aged 63. Descended from religious families, they were eminent for piety, much esteemed in life, and lamented in death."
