Biography

Phebe was a Friend (Quaker)

Phebe was the daughter of Anthony and Ruth Walters.^[1]

At the Amawalk Monthly Meeting, she married Isaac Lockwood, son of Jabez and Martha Lockwood.^[1] The date of their wedding was 19d 12m 1798.^[1]

In 1819, the family was granted a certificate from the Chappaqua Monthly Meeting to the Licking Creek Monthly Meeting in Indiana.^[2] The family included Isaac, Phebe and their children Ruth, Stephen, James, John, Isaac, Edward, and Anthony.^[2] Phebe and one child died on the way to Indiana.^[2]
