• WARNER - At his residence, Lindsay, On Sunday 14th February, John Billings Warner, formerly of Napanee, aged 52 years.

Cut off in the Prime of Life - Much surprise was created in town on Monday last by the announcement that Mr. John Billings Warner, of Lindsay, had died the evening previous. It was known to some of his friends here that he had not been well for some time past, but they little expected his end was so near at hand. Deceased was the eldest son of the late Billings Warner, of Yarker, who while bathing with his brother James, (now of New York), in the river there, got beyond his depth, and being unable to swim, was drowned. .....
