Biography

Hannah was born about 1778-1779 and married Henry Tomme aka Tommy around 1795. They lived in Morgan Co., GA (where Othniel lived) for a time and can be found their in the 1820 Census. The 1860 census is the last census she has been found in, so she probably died after that.

They had several children, some of which have been identified as:

• Othniel Weaver Tommey, 1798–aft 1860
• Hiram Tommey, 1800–aft 1860
• Marion Tommey, 1813–abt 1900,
• Martha W Tommey, 1818–aft 1860,
• Rachel Frances Tommey, 1822–aft 1880

Problem

• Many researchers add the middle name of "Hughey" to Hannah Weaver's full name, but this is incorrect and is the result of combining 2 people with similar names from the the same family into in one person.

Clarification

1. Hannah Hughey was the daughter of Thomas Hughey and Susannah Jones (second wife of Othniel). She married James White.
2. Hannah Weaver was the daughter of Othniel Weaver and Sarah Holley (first wife of Othniel). She married Henry Tomme aka Tommey
3. Therefore, Hannah Hughey White and Hannah Weaver Tommey were step-sisters
