Biography

Margaret Ann also known as Peggy was born 15 Apr 1807 in Warren County, Kentucky. She died 27 Apr 1881 in Taylor Hill, Franklin County, Illinois. Her parents were Lazarus Webb and Nancy Creek. She married Robert Taylor, son of Herring Taylor and Sally Cotton, 31 Jul 1823 in Franklin County, Illinois. In the Lazarus Webb's Booklet her name is listed as Peggy A. [1]

1. Mary Ann Taylor was born in 1825, her father, ROBERT TAYLOR, was 22, and her mother, MARGARET (Peggy) ANN TAYLOR, was 17. She married John Noah Neal on March 21, 1844, in Franklin, Illinois. They had 11 children in 27 years. She died in 1892 in Franklin, Illinois, at the age of 67, and was buried in Middle Fork Cemetery, Franklin Co., Illinois.

2. Sarah "Sally" Jane Taylor was born on August 16, 1826, in Franklin, Illinois, her father, ROBERT TAYLOR, was 22, and her mother, MARGARET (PeggyAnn) WEBB, was 18. She married Matthew Lewis Roberson and they had nine children together. She then married Lewis Dillon and they had one daughter together. She died on December 7, 1904, in Northern, Illinois, having lived a long life of 78 years. SheSwofford Cemetery, Thompsonville, Franklin County, Illinois.

3. Elijah Taylor was born on February 9, 1828, in Franklin, Illinois, his father, ROBERT TAYLOR, was 24 and his mother, MARGARET (Peggy Ann) WEBB, was 19. He married Roseannah S. "Rosa" Neal in 1848 in his hometown. They had six children in 10 years. He died on June 21, 1899, in Northern Township, Illinois, at the age of 71, and was buried in Middlefork Cemetery in Franklin County, Illinois. He was AKA as Jermiah Elijah Webb.

4. Priscilla Taylor was born in 1829, her father, ROBERT TAYLOR, was 26, and her mother, MARGARET (Peggy Ann) WEBB, was 21. She had four brothers and two sisters. She died as a child in 1830.

5. Richard Hiram Taylor was born on July 16, 1831, in Franklin, Illinois, his father, ROBERT TAYLOR, was 27 and his mother, MARGARET (Peggy Ann) WEBB, was 23. He married Nancy Jane Franklin on August 7, 1856, in his hometown. They had 11 children in 28 years. He died on December 10, 1901, in Franklin, Illinois, at the age of 70. Burial was Williams Chapel, Ewing, Illinois.

6. SOLOMON WEBB TAYLOR was born on March 26, 1832, in Ewing, Illinois, his father, ROBERT, was 28 and his mother, MARGARET, was 23. He married NANCY JANE WILLIAMS and they had eight children together. He then married Malissa Cockrum on November 18, 1880, in Franklin, Illinois. He died on July 31, 1921, in his hometown, having lived a long life of 89 years, and was buried in Elder Silas M. Williams Chapel Cemetery, Franklin County, Illinois.

7. William Jackson Taylor was born in 1839 in Franklin, Illinois, his father, ROBERT TAYLOR, was 36 and his mother, MARGARET WEBB, was 31. He married Martha Ann Kirk on December 1, 1858, in his hometown. He died in 1892 in Illinois at the age of 53.
