DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with John by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with John:
I don't think the parents are correct for Webb-2942. - I believe them to be William Webb abt (1694/5 - 1750/8) & Jane Martin abt (1694 - ?). Please review for possible correction. This John was born in Rutherford Co, NC and all the other children were from VA. * * It seems to me that Jerry Scott's (Webb-28411) is the correct John Webb - that's the son of Merry Webb & Elizabeth Martin. Help, please. Bob Cole
Sarah Byars-57 & Sarah 'Sally' Byars-593 appear to be the same person. I believe the 1742 date is the correct one. b. & d. locations are same. -Maybe a merge can be done.- Her Mom is Margaret 'Peggy' Gentry (1715-1742). Her Dad is Capt. James Byars, I (1713-1792). She marr. Rev. John Webb (John #2 in his family), (1740-1802). They had 1 son, Chesley Webb, Sr (1772-1842), whose 1st wife, Henrietta Blackwell (1774-1821) was Chesley's cousin.
