In the 1881 census Edward (age 3, Scholar) was living with his parents and siblings in High St, Wheatley, Oxfordshire, England. His father was a grocer. ^[2]

Edward married Rosina Clemson on 20 August 1906 in Oxford, St Thomas, Oxfordshire, England. On the marriage register her is recorded as being a carriage builder for GWR. ^[3]
