The Wells Family of Tenmile Country is believed to be descended of Thomas Wells, Sr. and Thomas Wells, Jr. of the Conochacheague Valley in Frederick County, Maryland. This family is also closely related to the Duckett Family of Prince George's County, Maryland, most likely through Jacob Duckett who removed to Frederick County where he died in the summer of 1764.
The siblings of the Wells Family of Tenmile are believed to be the children of Robert Wells and Ann Lackland:
William, m. Elizabeth (Archer?) Removed to Tyler (West) Virginia; d. abt 1835
'Martha, m. John Ankrom
Elizabeth, m. Michael Archer; her husband was killed during a fight with Indians on Fishing Creek
Thomas, b. Oct 1751 in the Conochacheague Valley in Frederick County, Maryland
Richard Duckett, b. 22 Mar 1752; m. Sarah Lakin on 20 Jan 1774
