Garwood Wells has Appalachian roots, in Kentucky.

Garwood Arthur Wells was born on 26 Mar 1916 in the state of Ohio, United States. He was the son of Carl Wells and Mary (Powers) Wells. He passed away in 1994.

In the 1930 census Garwood (age 14) was the son of Carl E Wells at Lemon Township, Butler County, Ohio, United States.^[1]

Arthur, son of Carl Edmond Wells & Mary Powers, married Dorothy Ann Cruse on 19 November 1938 at Union County, Indiana, United States.^[2]

In the 1940 census Garwood (age 24) was the married son of Carl Wells at Sunbury, German Township, Montgomery County, Ohio, United States.^[3]

Garwood and Dorothy had at least two children together prior to their divorce sometime before 1949. Son Kenneth Eugene Wells died at age 3 months in 1941.^[4]

Garwood married Florence M ? about 1948. They resided in Florida where Garwood's parents were residing.

Garwood died (age 78) on 11 May 1994 at Punta Gorda, Charlotte County, Florida, United States.^[5][6] He was buried at Woodside Cemetery, Middletown, Butler County, Ohio, United States with a death date of 11 May 1994.^[7]

Florence remarried Robert Franklin Vokes after Garwood's death and is still living (age 97) in 2022.
