Biography

James West was born about 1851, probably in Garafraxa West township in Wellington County, Canada West, British North America. He is the son of William West and Mary Griffen.

He appears with his family in the Canada census of 1861 and 1871 in Grafraxa West where his father was a farmer. A history of Essex County published in 1905 indicated he was in the North-West Territory.[1]

Nothing further is known about James.
