Biography

Lazarus Whitehead was born in 1752 in Edgecombe, North Carolina, British Colonial America at the Bryan Settlement.

He was the son of Lazarus & Mary Bryan from Edgecombe County, NC.

His Grandfather, Col. Wm. Whitehead (b.1685), was the Representative to the Colonial Assembly at Williamsburg, Va.^[1]

Lazarus Whitehead was Minister of The Eaton Baptist Church at the Bryan Settlement on the Yadkin River, in North Carolina before 1800. He was first pastor of the Baptist Church at Elkhorn Settlement South of Richmond, in Wayne Co., IN.
