Biography
Mary Whitney was born in 1729 in Stow, Massachusetts to Abraham Whitney and Mary Stone Whitney.[1][2]
She married Silas Jewell, son of John Jewell and Eunice Unknown Jewell, in Stow, Massachusetts in 1729. The couple published their intentions to marry 22 November 1748. They were parents of Silas Jewell, Jr; Ephraim Jewell; Mary Jewell; Jacob Jewell, and Eunice Jewell.
Mary Whitney Jewell died in 1797 in Marlborough, Massachusetts at 67 years of age. She was buried at Spring Hill Cemetery, Marlborough, and her headstone reads: In Memory of | Mr Silas Jewell Esq | Who Died May 20 1803 | AE 77 | Also | Mrs Mary His Wife | Who Died May 18 1797 | AE 67. [3]
