This profile was attached as being the mother of John Wight, born c1531 in Lincolnshire, dying in the 1580s in London.

The sources quoted for the death of this person are confused and conflicting in that context. Abstracts of the original records are now included in the citations. The burial in 1584 has nothing whatsoever to do with this person, and that in 1581 indicates that she was a child, surname Wrighte not Wight, and the daughter of John Wrighte.

The other source on this profile was an ancestry tree ^[3] which includes links to the above burial records. Many other trees are available which have that family group of which this is ^[4] is one of the better examples. None of these appear to have been researched, just copied one from the other. None appear to have reliable sources or plausible links as to family. Most cite the wife of Robert as being a Mary Abbott based on a very unlikely marriage in 1549 in Wye, Kent (a little out of the way for someone from rural Lincolnshire). Some name her as being Margaret (either Parye, Wingett or Woodbridge) all on the basis of no evidence whatsoever.
