William Williams was born on July 13, 1755 in Llanfair-yn-Neubwll, Anglesey, Wales. His father was David Williams (~1725 - ).

William married Barbary Steele (~1757 - ~1828).

Their daughter was Nancy (Williams) Hill (~1782 - ~1856).

William died on August 30, 1808 in Campbell, Virginia, United States aged 53.
