Upon the death of Sarah Wilson Harvey the following obituary appeared in The Republican, March 29, 1884:
"Died in Ryan's Glade settlement, March 21, 1884, Sarah, wife of Noah Harvey, aged 75 years and some months. The funeral services took place at the home of the deceased. She was a loving wife and fond mother. The large concourse of people that followed her remains to the grave showed how she was honored by all who knew her. She lived a consistent Christian for 35 years or more and came to the grave in ripe old age. She rests from her labors. Our loss is her gain."

Research Notes
Noted Garrett County genealogist Charles E. Hoye compiled a booklet titled "The Wilson family : Garrett County history". [1] In it he gives many details about the Wilson family but does not specify his sources. In particular he notes the following:
Daughter Sarah married Noah Harvey, Ryan's Glade.
Sarah along with all of her siblings, except Jonathan, lived to be about 70 years of age.
