Biography
Joseph Kimbrough "Yancey" Winston was born 6 Jun 1821 in Kentucky the son of Bickerton Winston and Maria Deans Kimbrough. [1]
He enlisted in and fought for Kentucky in the Civil War. [2]
Joseph married Harriet Olympia Trabue 10 June 1846 and together they had seven children: Louisa F Winston, William S Winston, Elizabeth Bickerton Winston, Joseph Kimbrough Winston, Charles S Winston, Harry Bickerton Winston and Jennie C Winston.[3][4]
By 1880 he had moved to Fort Worth, Texas. [5]
Joseph Died about 1885 at about age 63 in Fort Worth, Texas and is buried in Oakwood Cemetery in Fort Worth Texas. [6] .
