Biography

Nancy Caroline Wolfe was born on September 7, 1850, in Middletown, Ohio, to Bostion Wolfe and Elizabeth Cotton. She married Harrison J Long, son of Daniel Long and Elizabeth Engle, on September 30, 1869, in New Philadelphia, Ohio. They had seven children in 19 years. By 1874 the family had moved to Castleton, Barry, MI, where they lived until 1920, when they moved to Catalpa, Culpeper, VA. Harrison died there in 1921. After his death, Nancy moved back to Barry County, MI, where she died on November 11, 1931, at the age of 81. She was buried in Woodland, Michigan.
