Frances was born in 1858 in Indiana. Known as "Fannie" to her friends and family, she grew up in Toledo, Ohio and married Mr. John Wright of Bellevue (Lyme Township), Ohio in 1888, two years after his first wife Betsy Ford Wright died. Despite his advanced age of seventy-one years, they produced one child, Damaris Martha Wright Nye. Following John's death in 1908, Fannie determined that the grand Victorian mansion he had built in 1880-82 was too much to care for by herself and her daughter and they moved back to Toledo. Fannie Wright Wright passed away in 1932 and is buried in the Strong's Ridge Cemetery in Lyme.
