William Henry Young was born on September 25, 1877 in Ontario, Canada, youngest son of farmer Charles Peter Young (1844–1916) and Sarah Anne Thompson (~1845–~1877).

His mother Sarah died in December 1877 in Oneida a few months after he was born. (His father Charles resided in Seneca, Ontario, then married Mary Catharine Poss September 7, 1878 in Dundas, Wentworth, Ontario.)

William (age 23), son of Charles Young & Annie Thompson, married Rhoda Caroline Draper (age 22) on 25 December 1900 in Brantford, Brant, Ontario, Canada.[1]

In 1901, William (23), was a single son-in-law, in the household of Richard Draper (46) in Brant, Ontario, Canada. [2]

In 1930, William (54), married head of household in Buffalo, Erie, New York, United States. [3]

In 1940, William H (62), married head of household in Kenmore, Erie, New York, United States. [4]

William registered for the draft for World War II. [5]
