  • From her husband's obit: From E. Stroudsburg, Pa., died Jan 21, 1903; born Mt. Bethel, Pa., he was the namesake of his grandfather. He married in 1868, Caroline Ann Davis, who was the mother of his five children. After her death, he remarried in 1880, Miss Katherine Zimmerman, who survives him. Mr. Eilenberger was a veteran of the Civil War, serving in the 16th Pa. Vol. Cav. at the end of the war. Survivors besides his widow are Mrs. William Heller, Mrs. Edgar Taylor, Edgar Eilenberger, Mrs. CW. Eilenberger and R. James Eilenberger. Interment will be in Prospect Cem., East Stroudsburg on Sat.
