Biography

A sudden death occurred last evening at the James White Memorial home when Mrs. S. A. Clark passed away at 6:30. The cause was paralysis of the heart, with which she has been troubled for some time. She was however, around yesterday, apparently better, but at night she was stricken down. Dr. Robertson, the coroner, saw the remains very soon and decided that she died from natural causes, and said no inquest was necessary. Mrs. Clark was about 70 years old and has been in the home for several years. She left a brother living in Logansport, Indiana, who has been notified of her death, but who has not been heard from. It is probable that there will be no funeral here, The remains being shipped to Logansport.^[1]

Elder McCoy of the sanitarium conducted the funeral services for the late Mrs. Susanna Clark, which were held at eleven o’clock this morning at the Old People’s home. The interment was made late in the Haskell home cemetery. A number of the inmates of the home attended the services.^[2]
