Biography

William Webster DeVaughn was born in Coosa, Alabama on February 8th of 1855. The 1860 Census lists him living with his parents and eight siblings in Coosa, Alabama. [1]Records indicate that he was married twice. His first marriage was to Mary E. Hutto on November 15, 1874 in Coosa, Alabama. [2] The 1880 Census also shows him living with Mary in Coosa, Alabama. [3]His second marriage was to Addie Scarborough on December 16, 1894 in Chilton, Alabama. [4]William Webster DeVaughn is listed as the father of Sanford DeVaughn on Find A Grave. [5] The Alabama Deaths database for 1908-1974 lists Elijiah DeVaughn and Martha Orm as the parents of William Webster DeVaughn. [6]
