Biography
Born 7/9/58 at Baptist Hospital in Jackson, MS to Jack Douglas and Sadie Mae Magee Fields. Very hot day, my mother stated she had to get a friend to take her to the hospital as my dad was working.
Moved to Humble, Tx when I was in the 6th grade and lived in Texas until the 10th grade. We also lived in Houston and Dallas Texas until we moved to Memphis TN.
In the 10th grade moved to Memphis, TN. Went to HillCrest High School in Memphis.
At the end of my 11th Grade, moved back to Mississippi, and graduated from Provine HS in 1976.
Went to Hinds Jr. College then University of MS School of Nursing and Graduated in 1980 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
Went back to school at UMMC in 2008 and received my Master's in Nursing.
Worked in many hospitals and other facilities within the Jackson area as staff RN Urology, Critical Care Nurse, Head Nurse, House Supervisor, Case Manager, Director of Case Management and Social Work, and Project Manager.
I have 2 children Brandi Bumgardner, Born 1981 and Daniel Bumgardner, Born 1985. My children's dad died of Melanoma in 2012 and I married Russ Morgan in 2015.
My mother, Sadie Magee Fields, died of complications of Alzheimers in January of 2010 and my father died 6 months later of Respiratory Failure related to possible Cancer, he did not get a biopsy but he was experiencing pleural effusions in June of 2010.
