My research shows Timothy West and Lois Dexter had several children besides Jane and Charity.

In addition to Jane and Charity, Timothy West and Lois Dexter had several additional children: Nancy, Presbury, Alice, Benjamin and Enoch Hammond (my great-great-grandfather).

Recorded in Charleston, N. H. but name Rochester, Mass. as the place of birth:

Alice, dtr b. 16 Aug 1774; Asenath, dtr., b. 28 Oct 1780; Drusilla, dtr. b. 8 Feb 1779; Presbury, son, b. 31 Aug. 1772; Nancy, dtr., b. 15 Dec 1770

Baptized in Rochester, Mass., but no birth record there or in Charlestown, N.H. 

Jane, dtr., and Else, ch. (gender not stated), baptized May 1780; 

Born in Charlestown, N.H:

Charity, dtr., b. 19 Dec. 1782 (this seems to be the first birth in Charlestown, with a 9 year gap unit the next, odd for such a gap?); Benjamin, son, b. 1 Mar 1791; Enoch Hammond, son, b. 27 Aug. 1792; 

These are all individual records in either Rochester, Massachusetts, or Charlestown, N.H. in American Ancestors records.

Comments

So the first batch Timothy West's children were born in Rochester, NH and the second batch were born in Charlestown, NH about 100 miles west. You seem to find this inconsistent and disavow several of his children (strangely, some from Rochester and some from Charlestown). To me it seems utterly believable that between 1774 (when Alice was born in Rochester) and 1782 (when Charity was born in Charlestown) Timothy West moved from Rochester to Charlestown. No?
