Is Mary Lynton, 1698, on the tree?

Question

Hi England.  I am asking, as instructed, whether Mary Lynton, born 20 July 1698, already exists in WikiTree.

I am also interested to joint the England Project - can you tell me how much time I might need to put in during the Orphan phase, please?

If you can add her parents, grandparents, great grandparents and so on, it would improve the chances of her connecting to the big tree. She probably has a much better that even chance of connecting.

I added some sources on some profiles for you - please continue doing this!

I did find something weird about Cornelius Dunn. In the whole of England there are only three born around 1812 ... one in London, one baptised in Cradley in 1811 with parents William and Sarah, and another one baptised two or three miles away in Wombourne in 1813 to parents Francis and Sarah (again). I think you've got the right one in your tree but be careful when searching.

This pattern is usually when brothers both name a son after their fathers but that doesn't seem to be the case here. They must be related though.

Note that he was baptised in Park Lane Chapel which was Presbyterian rather than the Church of England.

Hi Matthew and thank you.  I do have a lot more info about the sources, which I will be adding as I go along.  I also have a lot more relatives to add, when I get the time.

I am confident about 'my' Cornelius Dunn both because I have researched and documented the Dunns of Quarry Bank extensively, and I have a DNA match that puts him and his wife as Most Recent Common Ancestors linking me and Iain Dunn in Australia.

And yes, Presbyterian would fit - our whole family has always been non-conformist.

Richard, you asked how much time might you need to put in during the OT1 process.  Well, not an easy answer, but I would suspect that the very best answer would be "as much as you wish to put in".  The process can take as little as a week or as much as a couple of months.  Really it is not something you would want to rush however if you can't commit a minimum of a 4 or 5 hours a week, I would tend to put it off until you can.  I hope this answers your question Richard & we would love to have you join us when you are able.  I look forward to seeing you sign up! -Brad Cunningham
