In the degrees of separation, explain why the color yellow/gold will begin, turn to green and then back to yellow/gold.  Not sure how to read this

Green are blood relationships, then to yellow for connections that are not related, back to the blood relations before arrival

When you say back to blood relations before arrival. What does that mean?

The blood relationships are one colour.  When one lot of blood relatives "runs out", it will use a marriage, then it may go to another line of blood relatives.
