Lawrence West Rogers

Question

Okay back to square one, the one lead I had went to a Lawrence Sanford Rogers not Lawrence West my great great grandfather. Born 1841 died 1875 maybe he wasn't born in KY but that is where my family directed me.

I haven't found a relative who knows exactly who he is or  parents.

I have checked the Family Search site.

Any places else I should check out? The Search continues!   :)

Ancestry.com appears to have some info.  There is an 1850 Census with a Lawrence West born about 1837 living with a Willis and Hempsey?  Do you have any details such as siblings.  The Ancestry records have Civil War Draft and Service Records.

Have you checked Fold 3 for Service Records?

This appears to be him with Martha and children in census data.  1870 says born in MO?   Don't know if searching for the children's records would lead to any more info.   Did Martha apply for a widow's pension, as an Lawrence W Rogers  served in the Civil War?

I don't know if she applied for those benefits but this is my Lawrence West in the Census  I have this already I am trying to locate his parents and siblings.   

The one with Willis and Hempsey showed as Lawrence Sanford which isn't my Lawrence. Thank You
