Question

Mary Jane Hawkins is the wife of civil war Veteran Willis D. Rouse. She was born abt. 1849 and died at Central Village Connecticut August 1, 1919. She has one know sibling a Julia (Hawkins) Newton.

We need help with parental genealogy and connecting her to the Wikitree family

I added Gurdon the poor lad died at about 12 years of age. Cause unknown.

Gravestone for Mary Darby shows her Middle initial as “E” which would match Elizabeth. So should be Mary Elizabeth (Darbe) Hawkins

''first American ancestor of the Hawkins family settled in Dorchester Mass in 1630. This Capt Thomas Hawkins was a member of the Royal Artillery Company of Boston and was in charge of the big guns of Savin Hill in Dorchester.
 His son Richard removed from Boston to Portsmouth RI and the second son Christopher settled in Kingston RI.
 From this family came John Hawkins who married Miss Louise Browning daughter of William and Sarah Cole .
The former a Revolutionary soldier was born in North Kingston RI July 21 1754 and died there April 5 1820. By this marriage John Hawkins had a son Joseph who married Rachel Stear.''
