They were borth 30, Although the marriage record gives James's father as REasor, from other I records, I believe the correct name is Reason. Becareful with this, as there are several Creed Wilders born about the same time: According to the California Death Index, son Creed's mother's maiden name was Cope. (Creed was born 02 Feb 1875 and died in Los Angeles 01 Oct 1945.) So, if this is correct, the maiden name of the woman James was married to in 1874, when Creed was conceived, was Cope. There was Creed Wilder born about the same time in Tennessee, and a Creed born about the right time who was living in Iowa in the 1900s, so they are a bit difficult to keep separated. The CA record does say that this Creed was born in Virginia.
