US Black Heritage: Quander name project?

Has anyone on the US Black Heritage team contacted Rohulamin Quander or the Quanders United Foundation about doing a name project for them? They supposedly have a tree with over a thousand individuals and documented connections to the Washington family and Mount Vernon. They also have judges, a deputy mayor, the first Black member of the restored permanent diaconate in the US, and one of the founders of the AKA sorority. I checked recently and we appear to have a single individual with that family name. https://www.wusa9.com/mobile/article/news/local/maryland/finding-quander-the-journey-of-one-of-americas-oldest-documented-black-families/65-492404094

I don't know of anyone working on this family, but it would be amazing if someone did!
I added her two parents. The parents are linked on Find a Grave with one child. Lots of work to be done. I saw Eunice's obituary on Newspapers.com but haven't added it yet.  The obituary mentions the research goes back to 1100 A.D.  Also, her profile has an active researcher on Ancestry.com ... I'll add the link to Eunice's profile.

I would think that this family is a major trunk with lots of branches. I will put this line on my "active list".

Emma, you have a personal Connect a Thon category tag on her page. Should that be removed now?
Oh, I didn't realize that was a profile I created. This is part of the GU272 project, Tommy, so please leave that category on for now. It tells me which profiles will need a special category for that project. It's on my to-do list. Thanks!
If the project is interested, I can try to contact the Quanders and see what they're willing to give us. Since they supposedly have a tree, they may be able to give us a GEDcom, or more.

Rohulamin Quander (a retired administrative law judge) has been featured in articles and videos by the Smithsonian in addition to more local media and wrote a book about his dad, who was apparently a pretty amazing guy. Do you think we should see if there's interest in a feature of some kind, or should we just start adding profiles?
Anne, I would love to attempt to connect with them first. Any time we can get some collaboration from outside of WikiTree, it's a win for us. But if you're unable to make a connection, we can just start creating profiles. Thanks!
Ok, I sent an email to one of Judge Quander's Heritage projects. We'll see if that gets a response. If need be, I'll try again with a different mode of contact.
