1851 census (transcription error for surname as GRUN - form image is GREEN)

Says born Didbrook 1802 and spouse is Ann age 43, born in Baston Warwickshire

Children - Elizabeth, William, Charlotte, James, Frederick

This group of Green’s is from “Naunton Fields“ the census matches the marriage records. The birth record seems to match but seems family search is sowing different parents. I’m missing something but not sure what. I’m not so confident the “Didbrook” group belongs to him.

The Charles Green who married Jane Watson lived in Upper Slaughter Gloucestershire

Married July 22 1822

They had a son William Watson born May 18 1823 in Upper Slaughter

William, the son of Ann was born April 23 1832 in Didbrook

So !! 2  different Charles

Oh good note I couldn’t catch it but figured it didn’t add up. Thank you Eddie this is very much appreciated. I doubt I’ll find his parents, but good help from g2g yes

Charles Green listed as a bachelor and Jane Watson was a spinster. These terms they used are interesting on the marriage record.

The other marriage record for son William and Eliza Hill adds they were minors and seems house numbers #5 and #6. Neighbors ?
The Didbrook Charles birth cert parents Thomas and Elizabeth

Born 1798 in Didbrook
One Charles Green was committed to a lunacy asylum 1853 and died there in 1854

Check census to see who isn't in the 1861??
Oh I see a different Charles from Didbrook! Not him unfortunately. Charles and his son William were Stone masons and his son William married the girl next door it appears. Should be easy to solve the puzzle but as always parents aren’t listed on Charles Green and bride Jane Watson aka Watts marriage record! Urgghh

1861 census of a Charles Green shows he was a Carpenter. Our Charles Green who married Watts/Watson was a Stone Mason.
Birth date on profile wrong - it's for the Didbrook guy
Could be why can’t find him in later census reports. Although there is the 1841 census for wife Watts/Watson but not on there I don’t think
So Charles's father was William, wife Ann whose only records are as Ann Green

Grandparents Thomas Green and Rachel Roffe

Wow thank you Eddie laugh
